WHAT IS rKids?
rKids is the children’s ministry of rest Church! At rest we are passionate about partnering with you to lead your children to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
In rKids, your children from birth to 5th grade will learn in exciting environments through engaging teaching, passionate adult volunteers, and, most importantly, the truth of God’s Word!
To get started in rKids, we ask that you visit the rKids “Check-In” area (located on the 2nd Floor as you enter the main entrance of rest Church) where you will be given a name tag for your child that includes a security code and a corresponding tag for yourself. You will be asked to show your tag when you pick up your child. We assure you that no person will be able to pick up your child unless they have the tag that matches your child’s tag.”
You may drop off your child for check-in Sunday’s starting @10:15am. Your child will stay in their designated room for appropriate age-based Bible teaching throughout the duration of service.
Beyond our check-in safety protocol with name tags, we have multiple security team members monitoring the building throughout services each Sunday.
Your youngest rKids (Birth – 23 months) are part of a very nurturing environment that includes comfortable lighting, wonderful worship music, and incredible volunteers who are passionate about your little one. Be sure to let the volunteers know of any special needs or requests that you may have for your child.
Your toddlers. preschoolers, and kindergartners will find themselves in fun themed rooms with vibrant colors and volunteers who are ready to lead and teach the truth of God’s Word. Through dynamic storytelling, video teaching, worship music, activities, and small groups, your child will begin to form a foundation for a relationship with Jesus. The small group leaders who serve in rKids understand the importance of a solid relationship with you, too. They are available for you if you have any questions or need any resources to continue teaching your child at home.

Do you enjoy watching paint dry? We don’t either! rKids believe that kids shouldn’t have to feel that’s what they are participating in when they learn about God’s Word! Our teachers strive to bring stories straight from the Bible to life- allowing your elementary aged kids to be part of the story telling as much as possible. Along with the lesson, your child will get to watch hilarious videos, play epic games, and get crazy loud! We will walk through the entire Bible each year and have a blast along the way! You will receive a take home sheet that will show you what was taught each week, and, most importantly helps you have a conversation with your child doesn’t start with, “So… how was church?”.
