WORSHIP TEAM AUDITIONS
We’re so thankful for all that God is doing in and through our worship ministry here at rest, and we are excited to present the opportunity to partner with you to serve Jesus through the medium of music. We encourage you to read through the Worship Team page prior to auditioning.
We are currently accepting all auditions via video submissions. If you would like to audition for multiple instruments, or an instrument and vocals, you will need to submit separate videos for each of those.
Along with musicianship, we are looking for a stage presence that invites the congregation in to worship.
Please read through the requirements below before completing the audition sign up form.
how to audition
PHASE 1: VIDEO
The first phase in this process is to submit a video audition of yourself. Please start your video by telling us how long you’ve led, where you’ve led or where you are leading currently as well as why you want to be part of the rest Church worship team.
• Please provide your video link via email.
• Please let us know which campus you are auditioning for.
• Videos can be uploaded to a video hosting site (YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox etc.) then email the link or you can directly email the file over to: ab@restchurch.net
• Videos from live worship are also acceptable if you are clearly heard and seen.
If you are auditioning for Drums, Guitar or Bass, choose one of the following songs and record a video of yourself playing along with the recording:

Electric Guitarists, please take a minute to show us your pedal board!
If you are auditioning for piano or any stringed instrument please choose one of the following songs and record a video of yourself playing along with the recording:
Vocalists, please demonstrate both lead and harmonies. Choose one of the following songs and record yourself singing along with the recording. We will be listening/watching for tone, timing, pitch and presence.

PHASE 2: Live audition
After you have submitted your video audition our team will evaluate your video and get back with you.
Live Auditions will be invitation only.
• We will email those who we would like to see audition live.
• Live auditions are typically held on Thursday evenings, but there is flexibility on this.

PHASE 3: Enter rotation
After you have submitted your video audition and completed your live audition we will then either give feedback on how to improve or offer you a volunteer position in rotating on the worship team.
MINIMUM REQUREMINTS
• Must agree with our culture guide
• Must sign covenant (bottom of culture guide)
• Must complete love language test (bottom of culture guide)
• Must complete spiritual gifts test (bottom of culture guide)
• Must attend rest Church for at least 6 weeks in serving (trial period)
• Must already be a Family Partner or willing to become a Family Partner at some point
