Foster Care - The Cruise Family
Cj & Kate have always wanted to be foster/ adoptive parents. But, their journey to foster care came quicker, than they expected and not how they’d planned. They planned to have a couple of kids and get some parenting experience. Then, one day after a long time of considering, God said it was time to start NOW. This has been a very challenging experience, but God has used it to grow Cj & Kate immensely. Their desire is to stand in the gap for these children the way Jesus stands in the gap for us. Foster care takes sacrificial love. The kind of love that Jesus has for us. Ultimately they seek to imitate Him through this mission, not in their own strength. The thought of sending kids back to their homes after growing so attached is daunting. Through Christ, Cj and Kate know they can love even when it hurts because that is what he does for us.
